When to Use This Taper Punch
Use the K9495 6mm taper punch to line up bolt or rivet holes before fitting a fastener, or to start driving out pins and rivets. Follow with a parallel pin punch to push the pin fully clear, since the taper will wedge if driven too far into the bore.
Pro Tip: Use the taper punch to align mating holes and start a pin moving, then change to a parallel pin punch of the same diameter to drive the pin fully out — the taper would otherwise wedge in the bore.
