When to Use This Fish Plate
Fish plates sit between the leaf spring and the axle, secured with U-bolts. They distribute the clamping load across the spring and allow fine adjustment of axle position. Use the R1419A when building or repairing a trailer suspension with 45mm wide springs. The slotted holes give adjustment range that solid-hole fish plates do not. Pair with R1412 or R1412A shackle plates for a complete suspension rebuild.
