When to Use This Bit
Use the THS12 when you need to rout a small-diameter hook slot (approx. 9mm body diameter) in the back of picture frames, mirrors, or hanging shields. For a wider 1/2″ slot body, step up to the THS16. For heavier wall-hung items requiring a 1/2″ shank, see the THS16 1/2.
Pro Tip: Plunge straight down to create the entry hole, then move the router sideways to cut the slot channel. Mark the slot start and end positions on the workpiece before routing to ensure consistent placement across a production run.
