When to Use This Bit
Choose the THS16 over the THS12 when your hanging hardware requires a wider slot body (1/2″ vs 9mm). For heavier wall-hung pieces requiring added shank rigidity, the THS16 1/2 (1/2″ shank) provides a more stable router table setup.
Pro Tip: Plunge straight down to create the entry hole, then move the router sideways to cut the slot channel. Mark the slot start and end positions on the workpiece before routing to ensure consistent placement across a production run.
