The Carbitool TS 5712 B 1/2 is a 2-flute carbide-tipped Shallow Roman Ogee router bit with ball bearing. At 2″ cutting diameter it produces the largest profile in this series — a wide, graceful shallow ogee curve suited to table tops, bench edges, and substantial furniture moulding. 1/2″ shank.

When to Use This Bit
Use the TS 5712 B 1/2 for bold shallow roman ogee profiles on wide table tops, bench tops, and substantial furniture mouldings. The 2″ diameter makes it the most prominent option in the TS57 series. For smaller, lighter workpieces, consider TS 5705 B or TS 5708 B 1/2. The shallow ogee profile is particularly popular for hardwood table tops where a subtle, elegant edge finish is preferred over a sharper classical profile.
Pro Tip: For table top edges, make at least two passes: a roughing cut at 2/3 depth, then a finishing pass at full depth. This reduces chip load and produces a much cleaner final surface with minimal sanding needed.
