The Festool 203351 interface pad adds a thick 15mm soft foam cushion between the backing pad and abrasive disc on 150mm Festool sanders. The deep foam layer lets the abrasive float over contoured surfaces, profiles and mouldings for scratch-free finishing without oversanding.

When to Use This Interface Pad
Use the 203351 (15mm) interface pad for sanding contoured and curved surfaces — mouldings, furniture legs, shaped panels and any workpiece where the abrasive needs to conform to the shape. It is also excellent for final-grit passes where a floating sanding action prevents swirl marks. For flat-surface cushioning, the thinner 203348 (5mm) pad is more appropriate. For mesh abrasive protection only, use the 203343 protection pad.
