The Festool 205553 thin kerf fine-cut blade delivers clean, splinter-free cross-cuts in solid wood, veneered panels and coated boards on the TS 55 F and TSC 55 K plunge saws. The 42 teeth combine cross-cut and trapezoidal geometry for high smoothness and long service life.

- 1.8mm thin kerf — narrower cut width requires less motor effort, produces less waste and is the correct kerf for the TS 55 F, TSC 55 K, HK 55 and HKC 55 saws. Not compatible with older TS 55 / TS 55 R saws which use 2.2mm kerf blades.
- WD (Cross + Trapezoidal) tooth geometry — optimised cutting geometry for clean, controlled cuts with minimal tear-out in the target material.
- Colour-coded identification — each blade in the thin kerf range has a colour-coded label for quick identification of the correct blade for the job.

When to Use This Blade
Choose the 205553 WD42 for finish cross-cuts in solid timber, cutting veneered MDF and plywood, and any application where surface quality matters. The combined cross-cut and trapezoidal teeth provide smoother results than a standard alternating pattern. For general all-round cutting, the 205551 W28 is faster. For laminate and HPL, use the 205554 TF52.
