When to Use This Burr
Choose the SF-5AL (1/2″ head) for die work, mould cavities, and tapered openings where a rounded bottom is required. The tree profile with radius tip provides smooth, blended transitions at the base of tapered cuts. The 1/2″ size is suited for heavier stock removal and broader surface work. Use with a 1/4″ collet die grinder at speeds up to 66,000 RPM — reduce speed for larger diameters and harder materials for best results.
