When to Use This HSS Hand Tap Set
Use the taper tap to start the thread squarely, follow with the intermediate to establish full thread depth, and finish blind holes with the bottoming tap to cut threads to the very base of the hole. This particular variant (T7099247) covers the Workshop Range specification.
Pro Tip: Use cutting fluid liberally and back the tap off a quarter-turn every full turn to break the chip — this is the single biggest factor in cutting clean threads and avoiding broken taps.
