The Alpha 9S80 is an 8mm HSS Cobalt spot weld drill engineered for cleanly removing factory spot welds from automotive panels and sheet-metal assemblies. The single flat on the shank locks the bit into the chuck so it cuts through the weld nugget without spinning out.

When to Use This Drill
Reach for the 9S80 when separating spot-welded panels during collision repair, restoration work, or any panel-replacement job where the original welds need to be drilled out without enlarging the surrounding hole. The 8mm size is the most common diameter used by panel beaters and auto body technicians for production OE-spec spot welds. For smaller or shallower welds step down to the 9S65 (6.5mm).
