The Metabo PE 15-20 RT is a 1,500W variable-speed angle polisher running 300–1,900 rpm through high-torque planetary gearing. VTC electronics hold the set speed under load, making it a controllable polisher for automotive, marine and stone finishing with a 180mm (7″) backing pad.

When to Use This Polisher
The PE 15-20 RT suits panel beaters, detailers and stonemasons cutting and polishing paint, gelcoat and stone. The low 300 rpm minimum lets you apply wax and fine polish without slinging product, while 1,900 rpm and 1,500W handle heavy compound cutting. Its variable speed and constant-speed electronics give far more control than a single-speed polisher.
Pro Tip: Start cutting compound around 1,200–1,500 rpm, then drop to 600–900 rpm for the polish and wax stages — the lower speed reduces heat build-up and the risk of burning through the paint edge.
