When to Use This Gauge
Use the 08085 whenever a manufacturer specifies a fastener as an initial torque “plus” a number of degrees — common on cylinder head bolts, main bearing caps and other torque-to-yield fasteners. Set the initial torque with a torque wrench, fit the gauge with its arm locked against a fixed point, then rotate to the specified angle on the scale.
