The Recoil M10 × 1 Thread Repair Kit permanently restores stripped, worn or cross-threaded M10 × 1 threads in aluminium, cast iron, magnesium and steel — every tool needed for the repair is supplied in one reusable case. Each installed Recoil insert forms a precision 304 stainless steel thread that is stronger than the original tapped hole.

When to Use This Kit

Pro Tip: Wind the insert in until the top coil sits a quarter to half a turn below the surface, then snap the driving tang off with a sharp downward tap using the supplied break-off punch — leaving the tang in place can foul the bolt.
