When to Use This Backing Pad
Choose the soft (202461) pad for general-purpose random-orbit sanding on flat panels, timber edges and lightly contoured workpieces. The soft density lets the pad conform slightly to gentle curves while still providing even contact pressure. For aggressive stock removal on dead-flat surfaces or tight edge work, switch to the hard pad (202463).
