The Festool 489252 is the soft replacement backing pad for RTS 400, RS 400 and RTSC 400 orbital sanders. The 80×133mm rectangular pad features 12-hole Jet Stream dust extraction, MPE foam construction and a StickFix hook-and-loop surface. Attaches to the sander base with four screws.

When to Use This Backing Pad

The soft version is the standard pad for general-purpose sanding — use it for flat and gently curved surfaces. May require retaining ring 453707 during installation.
