When to Use This Drill Tap
Use this combination tool when production volume is high enough to justify the time saved by skipping the drill-to-tap swap. Best on aluminium, brass and mild steel — for stainless or hard steels, prefer separate drill + tap operations to manage cutting forces and chip evacuation.
