When to Use This Cutter
The MAX50-75A is the choice when you need large 75mm holes in tough materials that would destroy HSS cutters. Use it for stainless steel, Bisalloy wear plate, hardened steels, and any application where tungsten carbide’s superior hardness and heat resistance are needed. Requires pilot pin SP18050 (8mm). For mild steel holes under 40mm diameter, the Gold Series TiN HSS cutters are more cost-effective.
Pro Tip: TCT cutters require lower cutting speeds than HSS. Reduce your RPM and use generous cutting fluid. The carbide teeth are harder but more brittle than HSS — avoid impacts and ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. When teeth dull, they can be resharpened on a diamond wheel.
