The SP-650 Stone Grader adjusts the sharpening characteristics of your Tormek grindstone between 220 and 1000 equivalent grit. Press the coarse side to restore fast stock removal, or use the fine side to create a smooth polishing surface for finishing edges.

When to Use This Accessory
Use the SP-650 every time you switch between rough sharpening and fine finishing. Grade the stone coarse before establishing new bevels or removing nicks, then grade it fine for final edge finishing. Also use it to reactivate a stone that has become clogged and is no longer cutting efficiently.
