When to Use These Belts
Replace the 6000 grit belt when the abrasive surface appears glazed or polishing takes noticeably longer. The 6000 grit belt is used as the final stage in the sharpening process — after shaping with P80 and sharpening with P220. A fresh 6000 grit belt is the difference between a sharp edge and a truly polished one.
