When to Use This Bit
Choose the TFM 36 B 1/2 when producing runs of skirting boards, door architraves, window sills, or picture frame mouldings in a traditional or contemporary profile. Always run in a table-mounted router with a 1/2″ collet and a minimum 2 HP router. For a larger or more ornate profile, compare with the TFM 42 B 1/2 (R703) or TFM 54 B 1/2 (R704).
Pro Tip: When running long lengths of skirting, use featherboards both vertically and horizontally to keep the workpiece firmly against the table and fence — this gives a perfectly consistent profile depth for the full length of the board.
