When to Use This Bit
Choose the TFM 54 B 1/2 for production runs of skirting boards, architraves, window sills, and picture frame mouldings where a traditional ornate profile is required. It is best run in a table-mounted router at moderate feed rates to allow the carbide tips to shear cleanly through the grain. For a different ornate profile style, compare with the TFM 42 B 1/2 (R703), TFM 60 B 1/2 (R701), or TFM 66 B 1/2 (R705) — each carries a distinct profile shape suited to different architectural styles. Always use a full-size router (minimum 2 HP) with a 1/2″ collet for stable, vibration-free cutting.
