Multi-gas replacement cartridges for broad chemical protection — this ABEK1-class pair guards against organic and inorganic gases, acid gases and ammonia, such as chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulphur dioxide and methylamine. Certified to AS/NZS 1716 and EN143:2000 (ABEK1).

- ABEK1 multi-gas filtration — protects against organic vapours, inorganic gases (e.g. chlorine, hydrogen chloride), acid gases (sulphur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride) and ammonia/methylamine.
- Secure bayonet connector — locks positively onto MaxiGuard masks with a low-profile, well-balanced design.
- Lightweight, low breathing resistance — polypropylene construction with no metal parts.
- Add a prefilter for particulates — fit a P2 prefilter (R7N11-P2) when particles and gas are both present, or choose the R703-ABEK1P2 combo.
- 5-year shelf life — expiry is 5 years from date of manufacture.
When to Use the R703-ABEK1
Use the R703-ABEK1 cartridge pair when you need broad multi-gas protection without particulates — organic and acid gases, ammonia and inorganic gases — on a MaxiGuard R7500 half mask or R680/R690 full face mask. If particulates are also present, fit a P2 prefilter or choose the R703-ABEK1P2 gas-and-particulate combo.
