The Festool 203346 pad protector sits between the backing pad and mesh abrasives on RTS 400 and LS 130 sanders. The 80×133mm protector prevents Granat Net mesh abrasives from wearing the hook-and-loop surface of the backing pad. Supplied as a 2-pack.

When to Use This Pad Protector
Install the PP-STF protector whenever using Granat Net mesh abrasives on the RTS 400 or LS 130. The open mesh structure of Granat Net provides superior dust extraction but is harder on hook-and-loop surfaces than standard paper abrasives. The protector is not needed when using standard Granat, Brilliant or Rubin paper-backed abrasives.
