Pro Tip
Carbide inserts prefer higher surface speeds than HSS — typically 90–150 m/min on mild steel for the L0098 inserts. If you’re getting a poor finish at lower speeds, it’s usually because the insert is rubbing rather than cutting; lift the rpm before changing the tool.
