Intech’s PRSCI inside spring caliper is purpose-built for measuring internal diameters — bores, cylinders, tube IDs and tapped holes. The legs bow outwards to contact the inside wall, and the spring joint holds the setting cleanly as you transfer the dimension to a rule or micrometer outside the hole.

When to Use the PRSCI100
Reach for the PRSCI100 100mm inside caliper when you need to measure or transfer an internal diameter — cylinder bores, valve seats, hydraulic bores, tube IDs, or large tapped holes. The 100mm size is for small-bore work — cylinder heads, valve guides and small-ID fittings. Step up to 150mm, 250mm or 300mm for larger bores.
Pro Tip: To find the true diameter in a bore, gently rock the caliper side-to-side and in-and-out until it just drags rather than slides freely — that’s the maximum width of the bore at the contact plane. Then transfer to a micrometer for the reading. Pressing too hard spreads the legs and gives a false over-size reading.
