The TPS 8 B 1/2-1 is the rail/cope cutter of the small-format Carbitool panel door set for 16–20mm timber. The only panel door stile-and-rail bit available in a 1/4″ shank diameter in the TPS 8 range. 1/2″ shank version for router table use.

- Small-format panel door set — designed for thinner door stock (16–20mm), ideal for bedroom furniture, bathroom vanities, and compact cabinet doors.
- 8mm radius profile — produces a clean, gentle curved profile on stile faces that complements the matching rail cope cut.
- Matched pair — must be used with TPS 8 1/2-2 (rail/cope) for a complete door joint; both bits are manufactured as a matched set.
- Replacement bearing TB14 — available separately for maintaining performance after heavy production runs.
When to Use This Bit
Use TPS 8 B 1/2-1 to machine the profile and groove on stile faces when building panel doors from 16–20mm timber stock. Use with the matching TPS 8 1/2-2 to cope the rail ends. Also note the 1/4″ shank version (TPS 8 B-1) is available for handheld routers. For thicker timber (20–25mm), use the TPD 1 B 1/2 / TPD 2 1/2 set instead. Replacement grooving cutter TPDG 9 available separately.
