When to Use This Bit
Use the TSL 8 (down cut) when trimming aluminium laminates or routing through aluminium composite where the finished face is on top. The downward chip push keeps the top edge clean and burr-free. For blind grooves in aluminium where chip clearance upward is important, use the up cut version TSR 8 instead. Always use cutting fluid with aluminium — dry routing causes rapid chip welding on the carbide edge.
