Intech’s PRSCI inside spring caliper is purpose-built for measuring internal diameters — bores, cylinders, tube IDs and tapped holes. The legs bow outwards to contact the inside wall, and the spring joint holds the setting cleanly as you transfer the dimension to a rule or micrometer outside the hole.

When to Use the PRSCI250
Reach for the PRSCI250 250mm inside caliper when you need to measure or transfer an internal diameter — cylinder bores, valve seats, hydraulic bores, tube IDs, or large tapped holes. The 250mm size reaches into larger engine blocks, hydraulic cylinders and fabrication bores. For smaller work the 150mm handles most benchwork; step up to 300mm for heavy plate and large-bore housings.
Pro Tip: To find the true diameter in a bore, gently rock the caliper side-to-side and in-and-out until it just drags rather than slides freely — that’s the maximum width of the bore at the contact plane. Then transfer to a micrometer for the reading. Pressing too hard spreads the legs and gives a false over-size reading.
