The Carbitool T516B 1/2 is a 2-flute carbide-tipped rounding over bit with ball bearing guide. Produces a generous 1/2" (12.70 mm) radius edge. 1/2" shank for stable performance in production router tables. Can be converted to a beading bit by swapping to a TB9 bearing. 1/2″ shank.

When to Use This Bit
Choose the T516B 1/2 when you need a 1/2″ rounding over edge on furniture components, frames, shelving or trim work. The ball bearing guide makes it the right choice for curved workpieces or template-guided routing where a fence isn't practical. Other radii in this R613 series range from 1/16" (T502B) up to 1-1/4" (T540B 1/2) to suit any edge profile requirement.
Pro Tip: To convert the T516B 1/2 into a beading bit, replace the standard TB11 bearing with a smaller TB9 bearing. This exposes the bottom corner of the cutter, producing a small bead detail on the lower edge of the profile — no second bit required.
