When to Use This Bit
Choose the TEB 15 B 1/2 when you need a complete, finished table or bench-top edge in a single router-table pass. The return profile is ideal for dining tables, workbenches, kitchen islands, and any flat-panel furniture where a rounded-over top with a corresponding bottom return is required. If you need the same profile without the bottom return, consider a standard rounding-over bit from the R613 series. Use the TEB 16 B 1/2 variant for a slightly different R1/R2 radius combination. Always run this bit in a table-mounted router — the 2″ cutting diameter and 1/2″ shank demand a full-size router (minimum 2 HP recommended).
Pro Tip: Take two passes — a light climb cut first to score the fibres, then a full-depth finishing pass in the correct feed direction. This virtually eliminates tearout on figured or reversing-grain timbers.
