A 2-flute carbide-tipped mitre lock bit that produces interlocking 90° corner joints and reasonably strong straight joints using a single bit. For 90° joins, cut the second piece at 90°; for straight joints, simply invert the second piece.

When to Use This Bit
Use the TML 60 1/2 for 90° corner joins in box making, drawer boxes, small cabinet carcasses, and display cases where a clean external corner appearance is required. For 90° joins, machine the first piece with the face against the fence, then rotate the second piece 90°. For straight panel joins, simply invert the second piece. Timber thickness must be between 8.70mm and 20mm for correct fit. Always run in a router table. An instructional sheet is available on request.
Pro Tip: Cut a test joint in scrap of the same thickness before committing to finished material. Set the bit height precisely with a height gauge — even 0.2mm error will cause a step in the joint face.
