The Intech CMVBCI080 is a matched pair of precision V-blocks supplied with clamps. The blocks are quality steel, fully hardened and ground, and made as numbered pairs so the V-grooves and outer faces are identical between the two blocks. Use them on a surface plate, drill press table or mill to hold round stock for marking out, cross-drilling, slot milling or inspection.

When to Use V-Blocks
Use the CMVBCI080 pair whenever you need to hold round stock on a flat surface — marking out a cross-hole on a shaft, drilling a hole through round bar on a drill press, milling a flat or keyway across a journal, or checking concentricity on a surface plate. The matched pair lets you support both ends of a longer shaft with the centreline guaranteed parallel to the reference face.
Pro Tip: Always use the clamp — even for marking out. The slightest knock will rotate an unclamped shaft a few degrees and ruin your scribed line. Tighten the clamp just enough to stop rotation; over-tightening can lift the work out of the V on smaller diameters.
