A 2-flute carbide-tipped beading bit with a wide flat bottom specially designed for grooving panel doors. Produces a beading groove with a 1/4″ radius and a distinctive wide, flat floor that adds depth and shadow to decorative door panel profiles.

When to Use This Bit
Use the TBB 8 when routing decorative bead grooves into flat panel door faces, cabinet stile faces, or furniture drawer fronts where a wide, flat-bottomed groove profile is required. Best used in a router table with a fence for straight-line production work. The 1/4″ shank suits smaller handheld routers and trim routers; for heavier production use, select the TBB 8 1/2 (1/2″ shank). For a narrower bead, see TBB 4 and TBB 4 1/2.
