The Carbitool TBB 4 is a 2-flute carbide-tipped Beading router bit producing a compact 3.2mm radius bead profile (3/8″ cutting diameter). Ideal for grooving panel door surfaces and routing decorative bead details in cupboard doors and cabinet face work. 1/4″ shank. Use with fence or template.

- Standard Bead Profile — the TBB series produces a clean semi-circular bead with a 3.2mm flat base section (the 3.2mm wide flat bottom is the key difference from the fine-point TBF series), giving a traditional panel groove appearance.
- Compact 3/8″ Profile — the smaller TBB 4 produces a delicate bead line proportionally correct for narrow panel door inserts and small-scale decorative work.
- No Bearing — Fence or Template — position with a router table fence for straight groove runs.

When to Use This Bit
Choose the TBB 4 for compact, traditional-style bead grooving on panel door faces and cabinet fronts. The flat-base bead profile creates a slightly heavier-looking groove than the TBF fine-point series — both are popular for panel door work. For a larger bead profile, choose TBB 8. For the fine-point version, see TBF 4.
Pro Tip: For a double bead groove on a panel door face, use the TBD 4 Double Beading Bit rather than running two separate passes with a single bead bit — this ensures perfectly consistent spacing between the beads.
